Versatile and flexible – high quality, best price-performance ratio!

The PRO Twist Basic can be used to twist two loose individual cables with stripped, crimped or sealed insulation for cross-sections from 0.13 mm² – 2.5 mm² (26 – 13 AWG). Special receptacles (e.g. connector housings) can be customised and cable cross-sections and open ends can be adjusted without tools.

A total of up to 99 different production programs can be stored for the twisting speed and number of forward and reverse rotations. Material-friendly flat grippers with different special coatings, high production speed with reproducible, consistent quality and high flexibility thanks to modular design for different applications are all included.

    Device variants

    • PRO Twist Basic A (clamping force via spring force)
    • PRO Twist Basic B (clamping force and strain relief pneumatically controlled)

The PRO Twist Basic can be delivered with the well known spring tension carriage – as introduced in PRO.EFF’s Standard Twister in the past, or the pneumatic tension force and strain relief carriage. The advantage of the pneumatic tension force and strain relief carriage is that the strands are not exposed to the usual experienced tension force during the loading/unloading process. Therefore, no damages to strands or crimping contacts will occur. Further on, the adjustable tension force (required tension force during the process) will only be applied once the process was started. With this latest innovation it is now possible to apply a similar tension force control – as introduced with the PRO Twist 1000.

    Twisting head

The twisting head is constructed allowing the quick adjustment to various cable cross-sections and open-end strands, without the usage of any tools. Possible damages on delicate insulations are avoided with the implementation of the latest flat-clamping device – available with
different coated connecting clamps. Integration retaining belt on motor side: The latest integrated retaining belt avoids the unintentional twisting of the twisting head during the loading/unloading process and therefore simplifies this process for the operator. This approach results in a more ergonomic operation, but also a reduced cycle time.

    Options

    • Clamping slide for standard lengths up to 2.5 m
    • Clamping slide for cable lengths of up to 5 m (PRO Twist Basic A only)
    • Cable routing for cable lengths greater than 2 m
    • Different clamping plates for different insulation materials
